Pack Design: 21700 Cells, 13S4P and 30 A BMS
Uses 52 SWY21700 cells (3.6 V, 5.0 Ah). Four cells in parallel give the 20 Ah capacity, and thirteen of these groups in series set the voltage window: 54.6 V at full charge and a 35.1 V discharge cut-off.
The 13S BMS is rated for 30 A and uses a split-port design, so the charger and the controller connect to separate ports. The pack is supplied without a battery case; the case is provided by the customer.
Connector type and wiring are shown on the approved interface drawing. We send it with the datasheet so your team can match it to your charger and controller before ordering.
Charging and Operating Conditions
Use a 13S lithium-ion charger with a 54.6 V limit. The standard charge current is 3 A and the maximum is 4 A. In use, the pack delivers 10 A as the standard discharge current and up to 30 A at peak, down to a 35.1 V cut-off.
The pack can be charged from 0 °C to 45 °C and discharged from −20 °C to 45 °C. It leaves the factory at 49.5 ± 0.5 V. For storage, keep it at 10 °C to 25 °C and 60 ± 20 % relative humidity.
BMS Protection and Safe Use
The 13S, 30 A BMS provides overcharge, over-discharge, discharge overcurrent, short-circuit and temperature protection. Protection thresholds are given in the approved specification and can be sent on request.
To keep the pack safe in service:
- Charge only with a compatible charger within the specified voltage and current
- Do not reverse the terminals or short-circuit the pack
- Do not disassemble the pack or expose it to fire or excessive heat
- Stop using the pack if it is deformed, unusually hot or behaves abnormally
BMS communication (CAN, RS485 or UART) is not part of the standard specification. If your vehicle needs it, tell us your requirement and we will check the options.
