01 Product Overview
This 162.78kWh container ESS adopts long-life LiFePO4 cells and distributed intelligent BMS, with comprehensive thermal & fire protection, high-efficiency bidirectional PCS and EMS remote monitoring for diversified energy storage applications.
1. Premium Cells & Stable Module Hardware
This 162.78kWh container energy storage system uses 314Ah square aluminum-shell LiFePO4 cells, ≥6000 charge cycles, energy density of 110Wh/kg, working temperature: -20℃~60℃. The 18S module adopts laser welding and air cooling, supporting 314A continuous charge & discharge to maintain stable power output.
2. Layered Distributed Intelligent BMS
The distributed BMS includes BCU main controller and BMU sampling units. It realizes high-precision voltage & temperature monitoring, external MOS passive balancing, TVS anti-static protection and precise SOC/SOH calculation. Isolated CAN & RS485 interfaces connect with PCS and EMS, supporting real-time data monitoring and multi-layer fault protection.
3. Complete Safety & Flexible System Adaptability
Equipped with industrial air cooling and three-mode heptafluoropropane fire suppression. The matching bidirectional PCS achieves 98% high efficiency, supporting grid-tied and off-grid modes. Cooperated with independent EMS, the system applies to commercial peak shaving, PV energy storage and emergency backup power supply.

aluminum case lithium iron phosphate battery is proposed to be used in this project.

The energy storage system consists of a 162.78KWh battery and a main control box.
The topology of the energy storage system is shown in the following figure.

○ Module Scheme
The battery module is composed of 18 square aluminum shell cells with a length of 18S,
and the module's pole lugs are connected by laser welding. Adopting an air-cooled cooling method with the BMU module.

○ Energy Storage BMS

The energy storage lithium battery system should have a battery management system (BMS). The BMS is designed in accordance with GB/T34131-2017 to realize the overall control and protection of the energy storage battery stack and realize communication with PCS and EMS.

The BMS should realize the acquisition of high-precision and high-reliability battery cell voltage and temperature, and at the same time perform high-precision estimation of the state of charge (SOC) of the battery energy storage device, and realize the power balance between battery cells through the balance control circuit. In the event of abnormal battery data, a fault alarm and protection are triggered.

The topology configuration of the BMS should match and coordinate with the topology of the PCS and the grouping of batteries, and optimize the control and overall management of the battery operating status. The specific implementation level of each function in the BMS functional requirements is determined by the topology configuration of the BMS, and it should be implemented layered and local. The slave control BMU is responsible for the collection of battery voltage and temperature.

Custom air duct industrial air conditioner runs 24h continuously with multi-mode operation. It ensures small internal temperature difference, supports RS485 remote monitoring and auto-restart after power recovery without complex piping.
Triple-trigger Fire Suppression System
Built-in heptafluoropropane gas fire device supports automatic, manual and mechanical emergency startup. It targets container electrical fires and forms layered safety protection together with real-time BMS fault warning.
